Elias was born in the East Usambara Mountains. In addition to having 12 years experience guiding on Kilimanjaro, Mt Meru and other treks he has received an education in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
Born on the North coast of the Indian Ocean, Babuji has been commissioned by several different tour companies in Arusha and Moshi as a most “Trusted Mt. Guide”. He is also a serious football player for the Kilimanjaro Regional Football Team, the leading football team in the region
Emanuel was born on the slopes of Mt. Meru. With more than 8 years guiding experience with a variety of tour companies before joining Uhuru Expeditions, he is one of our most talented guides. Emanuel is also an accomplished artist.
Justice was born in nearby Moshi town in 1976. Over the past 12 years he has worked for companies like ZARA guiding on Kilimanjaro. He has also taken many clients to mountains outside Tanzania including Mt Kenya.
Nelson is a Maasai born in Arusha. He has more than 14 years experience in the guiding business. He is multilingual speaking Maasai (his tribal language), Kiswahili, English and Spanish.
John comes from the North East of Tanzania on the coast of the Indian Ocean. He has 7 years experience on Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru. He worked for many expedition companies in Tanzania before joining the team at Uhuru Expeditions
Rogers is his real name, but was given the nickname Alora because when he speaks Italian, he uses the word Allora (which means “then”) often. “Alora” is a Safari guide with more than 17 years experience showing visitors the wildlife of Tanzania
Was born in the Usambara Mountains. He has more than 13 years of experience in tour guiding having worked with many different companies including TUSKER TRAILS. He believes that anyone with basic physical condition can ascend Kibo and reach the Uhuru peak. He has climbed Mt. Rwenzory and can arrange expeditions in Uganda as well. Tunzo is the Team Leader of Uhuru Expeditions.
